Mike, would you characterize this kind of temporal cross-cutting as
flashforward, or would you make a distinction between the two?  Also, I'm
wondering if a sound bridge was used to yoke the two scenes (and their
causal relationship) together. I would actually imagine, in the case of
SCANDAL (though I didn't see it) that the eulogy is presented, with a
flashback (and perhaps a sound bridge) to the earlier murder.  I guess what
I'm saying is, with crosscutting of simultaneous action, there is a kind of
parity of emphasis, whereas in this temporal crosscutting, one temporality
always seems to be the privileged referent, and the other is subordinated
to, or used as an extension of, this privileged moment.
