guide me through the night
By the message You impart
and beacon of Your light ~
Give me strength to rise above
the trials that I face
As I seek the comfort and
the warmth of Your embrace.

Precious Lord, lead me where
I know I long to be
But though the road is long I find
it goes on eternally ~
But by the guidance of Your light
I know You'll lead me home
Where I will find comfort and peace
that is from You alone.

Help me, Lord, to have the strength
to open up Your Word
Speak to me throughout time
the messages that were heard ~
For all the wisdom You impart
I know there'll surely be
Something within the pages that
You scribed through history.

Times are tough, Lord, this I know
and it's now I must be strong
For fa
ith in You to carry me
over the road that's long ~
For hard times come upon us all
and though You will be there
Distractions shall discourage me
to focus on despair.

But with You by my side, O Lord
and strength You give to me
Your courage will define all that
I have grown to be ~
For by the light of Your love
and message You impart
You shine the beacon from Your Word
straight into my heart.
