The Celebration Company at the Station Theatre announces Auditions for Tracy Letts' Superior Donuts Directed by Thom Schnarre May 11 and 12 from 4-6 p.m. at The Station Theatre Roles Available (Please Note: Age ranges may differ from printed script.) THE MEN: Arthur Przybyszewski: (Age Range late 50s and up) The proprietor of Superior Donuts, a former hippie and draft dodger who's lost his idealism, Polish descent Franco Wicks: (Age Range early to mid-twenties) An African-American student "on a break", idealistic, talented, poor, a writer and a dreamer Max Tarasov: (Age Range forties and up) Arthur's business-next-door neighbor, a robust Russian with an accent, a video store owner and pornographer Kiril Ivanakin: (Age Range eighteen to thirty) Max's timid, imposing/muscular nephew Officer James Bailey: (Age Range thirties to forites) An African-American detective from the neigborhood, a regular at Superior Donuts, Randy's partner Luther Flynn: (Age Range twenties to forties) An Irish/Italian-American bookie and small time thug, physically fit Kevin Magee: (Age Range eighteen to twenties) Luther's Irish-American thug, physically imposing or just psychotic THE WOMEN: Lady Boyle: (Age Range Forties to Sixty+) An alcoholic homeless woman who uses Superior Donuts as homebase, flamboyant, direct, mother of four long-gone children Officer Randy Osteen: (Age Range thirties to forties) Another detective from the neighborhood, a regular at Superior Donuts, James' partner, sweet on Arthur All auditioners will be given cold readings from the script.
