Good Boys and True deals with a typical American family who are awash in the affluent and privileged culture of the late 1980s, where “Greed is Good,” A.I.D.S. is both a moral judgment and a death sentence, and people spend their lives seeking an instant antidote to their pain. When affluent doctor Elizabeth Hardy is shown an explicit home-made videotape of a boy who strongly resembles her son, Brandon, a high school senior with every advantage at his fingertips, committing a cruel and unthinkable act, she must confront the secrets that she and her son share to learn the truth. But as truths are revealed, all facades are destroyed and all who remain are changed forever. This powerful drama will linger in your mind long after the curtain falls.
