I've heard other Buffy fans put down Annya spouting out that except for the
last season where she put her life in danger in the last episode to save
someone else's life she never did anything constructive for the scooby group. I
disagree,I've seen her come up with lots of good things like going into a
trance for Buffy when she saw Dawn was the key for the first time, she knew about
that spell, however Giles and willow knew about that too.

Her great moment though was not when she gave her life up in the last
season. I've been watching season 5 with Glory lately. In the last episode of 5,the
group was at its wits end, could not come up with even a plan to kill Glory
except to try to fight and put her off until the it was past time for the
ritual to take place. However even then that wasn't good enough because Glory was
so powerful she'd probably kill all of them. It was Annya's idea to use the
dagnasphere to get her disoriented, and she was also the only one knew about
Olaf The Tool God's Hammer, tool of the Gods. To be honest the combination of
willows spell to get Tarra's mind back and those two weapons that Annya
brought up, the hammer and dagnasphere, were the things that killed her, in the
end it was Giles smothering her but the hammer did the better part of damage
to Glory IMOHO. I've heard some say she was worthless to the scooby group
because she ran away from the 3rd season, the mayors ascension, but I believe the
last episode of season 5 made her worthy and important if no other episode
did.
