Re: What Happened to Cooper????

There's multiple theories to this one.  One of the more popular ones, and the one I choose to buy, is that it IS Coop himself.  The theory is that he faced the Black Lodge with imperfect confidence (this is foreshadowed by Major Briggs in an earlier episode when he and Cooper are talking in the woods right before Briggs is abducted) and thus made himself susceptible to corruption (not deliberately, of course.)  He was then taken over by Bob, and the good, free will part of himself (i.e. the doppelganger) was trapped in the Black Lodge.  The idea would be that the same sort of thing had happened to Leland when he was possessed.
