  Very interesting, really. Although I never really knew that Mercury referred to Satan, but Saturn referred to Satan. And Saturn is indeed mentioned on the last chapters of TP.

I just bought the Twin Peaks DVDs and joined this list. My name is Marc
Fluks and I live in The Netherlands.

I noticed that the most important characters in Twin Peaks ain't real
persons (in fact the persons and the stories ain't even relevant - the 
true story of Twin Peaks is the story behind the story)...

These are my main findings so far... (please let me know if there are
errors).

* The Dead Dog.
The Dead Dog is the connection between the constellations Canis Major 
and Canis Minor, Thoth and Horus, the baboon and the crocodile, the Dog
and the Pup, the Master and the Pupil, the Quack and the Patient, the 
Mind and the Body, the two-headed dog Orthos killed by Herakles. There
also is a Cynocephalus involved here...
In Twin Peaks the Dead Dog is the Giant and the Dwarf and this explains
all these references to two dogs throughout the series. Some of these
are carefully hidden - the best one I found so far is that an Orchid is
1) a dog from Peru and not a flower and 2) it also is the color Magenta,
the color of Horus, and therefore the color of the Pup. I liked the joke
about the Mexican Chihuahua...

* The Log.
The Log is Thoth, husband of Maat (the Log Lady Margaret) - explaining 
why the astrological sign of the Log Lady is Libra. She is in fact
Libra herself since Libra is the Roman version of Maat. This is the
story about reincarnation and the Egyptian Book of the Dead (evil
people are punished by Osiris with reincarnation), explaining why there
are *so many* do'Nut's. The concept of Maat also explains the 'Bookhouse
boys' since Libra refers to a library.

* Diane.
Diane is the Moon so Cooper is barking to the Moon. Cooper, however,
doesn't talk to Diane during Dark Moon. The Moon phases are depicted on
a black box (Dark Moon being a Solar Eclipse) that is to be opened with
a key like the one inside the box - stating that the solution was already
there and all we have to do to open it, is to see the key.

* The Pupil (the Eye).
In Twin Peaks, the pupil is the audience. It is about the pupil and the
master. In general, the pupil is a Solar Eclipse, showing the hidden
face of Mercury (Thoth) during the daytime (this is why, on the bonus
DVD, someone refers to 'The mystery of the Egg'). This also explains the 
Eye of Horus on top of the gas station and why Nadine has 1 eye (Thoth
repairs the Eye of Horus) and why she is obsessed by a new draperunner.

The true story of Twin Peaks is Egyptian mythology/astrology/alchemy, 
Freemasonry, and is based on the occult books of Helena Blavatsky. I think
it is a remake of 'The Prisoner' by Patrick McGoohan, aired in the 1960s,
since the stories are identical.

Well, these are the main things I noticed. However, there are ~1000 secret
codes in Twin Peaks. Most of these are about dogs.

I want to know more about this 'Dead Dog' (I noticed that read backward,
'Dog' is 'God' and that Mercury in fact is Satan)... This is important
since I'm trying to understand the codes of quackery (this in fact is the 
reason why I bought the Twin Peaks DVDs I why I did understand most codes)
and Mercury is de deity of quackery. To me, this is not just a story, to
me this is real.

When Cooper wants to buy 'Dead Dog farm', the seller says,
'Of all the people in the world the best and the worst are drawn to a 
dead dog. Most turn away. Only those with the purest of heart can feel
its pain and somewhere in between the rest of us struggle'.

What does this mean ? What is the code ?
Does it mean that these 'best' people are just the victims of the 'worst' 
people - the ones that want to hurt them (or even kill them) to
reincarnate ?

I think this code is important...
