'New Age'-psychiatry
--------------------
* A very special character in Twin Peaks is 'New Age'-psychiatrist
Lawrence Jacoby,
http://www.lynchnet.com/tp/tpcard17.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_Twin_Peaks#Lawrence_Jacoby
The first URL cites Jacoby saying,
My ability to see the world through rose-and aqua-colored glasses,
thereby balancing the right and left side of my brain.
To be more exact: to colour of his right eye glass is Magenta and the
colour of his his left eye glass is Indigo.
* In astrology.
- Magenta is the colour of (the eye of) Canis Minor Horus (Apollo)
- Indigo is the colour of Sirius (the eye of) Canis Major (Mercury)
- The two colours correspond to the Dead Dog (Apollo + Mercury)
So the colour of the glasses correct for the the colour of the eyes
of the dogs,
Jacoby's eyes + glasses observe *identical realities*
Since an open right (Solar) eye observes the material world and a
closed left (Lunar) eye observes the Hermetic world, and since people
that see identical things with both eyes are supposed to be
'enlightened', the colours state that,
- 'Subconscious' refers to the Hermetic world (since Jacoby is a
psychiatrist).
- Jacoby is an enlightened person (New Age people are enlightened).
- Jacoby can *see* the Dead Dog as an Awakened Dog (since both
eyes see the same thing and refer to the two dogs). Jacoby can
see Satan in Twin Peaks.
