Early next week I'm getting the rest of my TP/Lynch collection out of
storage, and I can't wait. I consider Blue Velvet to be a precursor
to Peaks, and I consider it to be the the beginning of Lynch's
"classic" period. If you are a true-blue Lynch fan, you became one
after watching Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks and Wild At Heart. He's done
other quality work, of course, but those establish the trademark
style we all love. Wide-view shots of rooms, fire, uncovering
mysteries, light and shadow, etc. Thankfully, I have enough
refreshments to enjoy my re-experience :-).
