yeah I attended individual events, which means not all of them,
however what I read is they only sell complete package tickets
which includes all events,
sure you don't need to go to all of them
but you would have paid it anyway...

since I didn't pay anything except for flight and car rental,
I guess it was a cool deal... :)
and also the right amount of events for me...

yeah I walked a bit inside the Salish Lodge,
but only the outside shots of the Great Northern were filmed there,
the inside shots were taken at the Kiana Lodge on Bainbridge Island,
which I visited on Sunday morning...

what I see on the website
http://salishlodge.com
the room prices are in the $200 - $500 range...
no other recommendations on lodging possible,
since I camped out in the car... LOL...

now walking inside the Kiana Lodge is really fun...
all the wooden wall coverings with the paintings,
the room where Audrey told the Norwegians about Lauras death,
next room is the Martell kitchen from the pilot...

the room where the concierge desk was with
Audrey poking the pencil into the coffee cup and
where Harry told Mr. Palmer about Lauras death,
also Horne's dining room over there...

outside the place on the beach with the big log
in the background where Pete found Laura...

it's a bit tricky if you want to go there for your own,
it's a large private property, which can be rented for events,
the TP folks only got the 8am to 9am time slot on Sunday morning,
since the place was rented to a wedding after 9am...

the website has a few outdoor pix, but no indoor shots...

this years festival will be held July 30-August 1...
mhhhh, should I go there again... ?

"HELLO. I WAS WONDERING IF I MIGHT TROUBLE YOU FOR A CUP OF STRONG
BLACK COFFEE AND IN THE PROCESS ENGAGE YOU WITH AN ANECDOTE OF NO
SMALL AMUSEMENT. THE NAME IS GORDON COLE AND I COULDN'T HELP BUT
NOTICE YOU FROM THE BOOTH. AND...WELL, SEEING YOUR BEAUTY NOW I FEEL
AS THOUGH MY STOMACH IS FILLED WITH A TEAM OF BUMBLEBEES."
"You don't have to shout. I can hear you."

So, you were able to attend individual events? That sounds pretty
good if somebody wanted a little free time to explore. Any
recommendations on lodging? Were you able to go inside the Salish
Lodge? Any campsites nearby? Ideally, I'd be able to spend a night
at the Salish, and a night out in the woods camping. But, hey, I'm
just dreaming now anyway.

"I can get you a good rate at the Great Northern."
