I think that was one of my posts you are refering to. I saw a
program from IFC where Lynch was talking about Peaks. I don't
remember all the details, but he mentioned that early on, the murder
was never intended to be solved. The show would eventually become
more about life in TP.

Keep in mind that the show is set up like a soap opera, in that every
episode is a day, more or less. If the show would have remained on
the air for 5 years, that would only represent 3 or 4 months in the
life of the town. Of course, they could have always added breaks in
the timeline, but we'll never know about that.

I also believe that Cooper was always supposed to become a part of
the town. Even though he was there to investigate Laura's muder, his
own life would have become interwoven with the rest of the
townspeople.

Personally, I would have loved to see the investigation and the show
stretched out. As good as the show was early on, it clearly lost
steam once the murder was solved.

options regarding outside real estate investments. I may look into
purchasing a piece of property at what I assume will be a very
reasonable price."
