I think it must be the cooler climate we grow alot of different fruit.

And also I like being in this group not just because of tp but also finding out things about other people and places even if it is trivial stuff to some of you guys. I didn't think we had to live and breathe twin peaks to join this chat group.

Why are Cherries plentiful there? Is it cooler there? Do Cherries grow better in a cooler climate?

well actually in Tasmania it is pretty easy to find both cherries and frozen cherry pies so if you are heading towards Australia don't go to Queensland (to hot anyway) go to Tasmania the down under of down under.

actually, as one of the token Australians here, i would like to say that this is not entirely true. it is quite hard to find cherry pie here. there are certainly no ready made frozen cherry pies. you'd be very lucky to find one at one of your more "trendy" cafes. if you come here it is definately a byo on the cherry pie... and while you're at it, bring me some!

What kind of god-forsaken hellhole do you live in that cherries are
rare and expensive? Do your people use cherry pits as barter for
goods and services? Hell, I'll bet even the Ozzys on this board can
        easily find a cherry pie.
