I changed the output of the tracing a bit, so that I now get outputs like:

      7 Track gmane.comp.lang.ruby.cvs:[email protected]: <mailto:[email protected]>
      7 Track gmane.editors.lyx.general:[email protected]: <mailto:[email protected]>
     10 Track gmane.comp.db.cassandra.devel:[email protected]: <mailto:[email protected]>
     11 Track gmane.network.tor.cvs:[email protected]: <mailto:[email protected]>

According to this, 90% of the (active) lists are now on the gmane-mx.org
domain. And the nice thing about this is that it has the List-Post
data (found in Mailman messages and some of the other mailing list
software), so I could script a little thing to update and re/unsubcribe
these lists automatically.

Many lists have changed domains, apparently, which explains why they
can't be resubscribed. A common pattern is to move lists from @foo.com
to @lists.foo.com, for probably sound reasons.

This approach to semi-automatic mopping up seems to effective that I'm
tempted to postpone the server move a couple of days (because it'll be
impossible to do once I'm moved). We'll see.
