Muting??

	Pan on one of my machines suppresses quoted text, while another 
does not -- and under edit -> shortcuts -> mute quoted text, both say q.

	Am I looking at the wrong setting? What should I look at?? (I want 
to see and skim earlier posts (or rather, the quoted text in them) so 
that I recall what the newer text is answering.)
