a report on trying to add emacs-devel

Just a friendly report of my first-time experience.

The green-on-black Gmane web interface reports (I think) I'm filling out
the form in some wrong way.  It told me my description of the mail list
was too short and it said I had to fill out the e-mail address of the
list, but I did so.

I must be missing some obvious thing.

I'm also surprised no one wanted the emacs-devel mail list on Gmane, but
I can't find it.  I also can't find help-gnu-emacs: I know it's mirrored
on USENET's gnu.emacs.help, but then I can't use an NNTP server for
posting, right?  I'd have to really mail my messages to the mailing
list, which for someone like me that is not very convenient.  (Not
really requesting it, though --- it's not the end of the world.)
