That's precisely what I did.  But here's what else I discovered.
Although I've been using my gmane.io's subscribed groups just fine from,
news.gmane.io was removed from my list of secondary servers.  That's why
I couldn't get the groups when I listed.  I was doing the right thing
and the right thing was happening, but expectation was totally wrong.
