It looks like one of the MX record for the domain diypython.us:

  $ host -t mx diypython.us
  diypython.us mail is handled by 10 mail.diyputhon.us.
  diypython.us mail is handled by 10 mail.diypython.us.

does not resolve:

  $ host mail.diyputhon.us
  Host mail.diyputhon.us not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

I think that needs to be solved before email can be delivered to the
domain, and before Gmane can be updated.

Or you have to be lucky that Gmane [arbitrarily, I guess] tries the
correctly spelled MX :-)
