Can't add list with MX-based antispam

Hi,

I'm attempting to add the [email protected] list.  It uses 
mlmmj.  When I try to add it, I get:

Invalid alist address [email protected]: Timed out while 
contacting mailfake2.stargrave.org

So take a look:

$ host -t mx stargrave.org
stargrave.org mail is handled by 30 mail2.stargrave.org.
stargrave.org mail is handled by 40 mailfake2.stargrave.org.
stargrave.org mail is handled by 10 mailfake0.stargrave.org.
stargrave.org mail is handled by 20 mailfake1.stargrave.org.


There is one legit server in there; clearly the others are anti-spam 
measures.  Gmane always is failing on mailfake2.  I wonder if there 
could be more attempts to other MXs made?
