FWIW, I have in the past had issues with SPF and/or another domain protection protocol where it did either block messages sent via GMane or add some additional warning text to the top. This (and past issues with the GMane autoresponder not liking my email for some reason) led me to habitually use "Reply to List" rather than "Reply" for my responses, which means that I'm sending an email directly to the list instead of responding via GMane's gateway (so GMane essentially becomes a read-only portal). This of course requires a newsreader that knows how to send direct email replies, but most do. That was a long time ago, though, and I haven't really tested if things have improved since then. Although I'm sending *this* message directly to GMane, so it may serve as a test case. :)
