I've just tried some User-Agent strings, and:

- an empty User-Agent gives me a 403 message

- a curl one doesn't even do the SSL connection (same for an IE6 one)

so crosstimecafe.com is doing some UA-based handling...

I think it was: feedbase.comic.freefall
