Ingo,

You are quite correct that a bug report has not yet been filed.  It
was considered more urgent to let the developers know about the short
term fix implemented (thus the message to the list 11 hours ago) and
it was also important to wait until feedback had been received about
whether the Windows build proceeded after the "temporary" fix so that
a well-documented bug report could be filed.  That confirmation came
after 0200 local time for me.

I will work with Prashant to file a useful bug report in the tracker,
ASAP.  I appreciate your offer to help when given sufficient
information.
