Please help land these patches (touch and GTK3)

Dear AbiWord devs,

I'd like to make a special appeal from the Sugar Labs downstream for
your attention.

GTK3/introspection and touch UI are key goals in the current Sugar
development cycle and AbiWord's little brother (the Sugar Write
activity) is one of the centerpiece's of the educational tools
provided with Sugar.

Your assistance with reviewing, (correcting if necessary) and
committing these two patches would be most appreciated.
