GSoC '13

Hello everyone!
I’m Siddharth, pre-final year engineering student from BITS Pilani,
India. I will be applying for GSoC this year and after going through
the list of last year’s mentoring organizations, I decided to aim for
Abiword since it best suits my interests and C++ background.

I hope Abiword participate in GSoC this year as well. Though Google
has not yet announced GSoC 2013, still I guess it would be better for
me to start working from now so as to have a better understanding of
Abiword’s codebase and my project/proposal.

For a start, I have check-out the trunk code and have debug it in
Visual C++ 2008.

I will devote the next few days understanding the code base and would
try solving a few bugs which are mentioned in the Bugzilla. It would
be a great help if someone could advice me as to which bugs to start
with.

Looking forward to learn and actively contribute to the Abiword community.
