Hi Aman,

The first step is to build abiword sources from svn. You should at least
une the --enable-debug option to autogen.sh. You'll need various
libraries and helper programs that can be installed more or less easily,
depending on your platform. 
Come and meet us on IRC too. The channel is not always very active, but
if you have a question just ask and wait until somebodu replies (this
might take some time).
