Yes there is loss. Because file format are inherently tied to the
feature and the internal data model, the translation isn't lossless. We
try to do our best, but sometime it is just not possible.

This issue isn't specific to AbiWord, and is also why AbiWord hasn't
jumped on ODT by default - this would require a good amount of work to
adapt the internal model to ODT.
