Can't print

Abiword 3.0.1 - openSUSE 13.2 64bit KDE 4.14.6

First install version 3.0.0-2.1.11 from openSUSE 13.2 repository
Second install version 3.0.1-2.1 from www.rpmfind.net

When I invoke "print" from the "file" menu nothing happens except that a 
*.saved file is written to the default directory. Likewise when I save 
as a PDF file. Starting Abiword from a console produces...

:~> abiword

** (abiword:5704): WARNING **: failed to get find a colord device: The 
name org.freedesktop.ColorManager was not provided by any .service files
Aborted

The printer, a Samsung M3325MD tests successfully and prints from Kwrite.
