hi there, i'm new to the ML. I saw the mozillaZine's news about the europe conference, checked the slides and then subscribed to this dev ML. I'm basically interested in creating a WYSIWYG XML/XHTML editing tool for mozilla-based browsers. bitflux is definitely interesting, but from what i saw its pretty slow when it comes at GUI operations. i think the built-in mozilla editor (composer) or the newly added midas module could be used instead of reinventing the wheel and write everything from scratch. why not personalize composer? or use midas? yes, this could "lock" the project to mozilla and make an eventual porting to IE even harder, but i think there're other module on the market to allow author content on IE, an eventual port could use those. i'm looking at the midas demo and i think midas could be a solution. what it's not clear is how much midas there's in composer and vice versa. can midas be used to author XML files? any ideas? -- bx-editor-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.bitflux.ch/cgi-bin/listinfo/bx-editor-dev
