I wouldn't call it stable, but it's usable. Or in other words, people
are already using it. You can get it from (with subversion):

https://svn.bitflux.ch/repos/bxe/branches/bxe_2_0/

If you have any questions, just ask. There's also some information in
the wiki at http://wiki.bitfluxeditor.org/BXE_2.0
