Are you doing that on purpose? The red quoting stuff? Terrible...

Yes, there are quoting conventions.. (the "start with >" and "break 
after max 80 chars" thing... most email clients do that quite well) 
These rules are of course not mandatory, but makes life for everyone a 
lot easier and keeps mailinglists readable...

there's a "ns" attribute in the root element "grammar" which defines the 
default namespace to be used in the relaxng document.
http://www.relaxng.org/tutorial-20011203.html#IDADGZR has some more on 
that. The lenya examples also uses XHTML, so you could look at ths.
