I don't find your name in the archive since november ;) Are you sure you 
posted to the right list? There are also bxe-only mailinglists available 
at http://bxe.oscom.org/development/mailinglists/

To your problem. No idea, never saw this happening.

You "bold" a text in BXE, a not-wanted <p> tag is added, thensave it, 
open it in the one form editor and then there's no <p> tag anymore?

That would be really strange...
