BXE inserts Namespace Prefixes a0, a1, a2, ...

Hi list,

when I save a document with XHTML as the default namespace,
BXE uses prefixes like a0, a1, a2, ... instead of the empty
prefix.

Is there anything I could have configured in a wrong way,
or is there a way to avoid this behaviour?
