Getting out from a list resp. appending text below a list

Hi

I have an unordered list and below no other text resp. no paragraph, e.g.

<ul>
  <li>Hello</li>
</ul>

Now I would like to insert some text below this list, e.g.

<ul>
  <li>Hello</li>
</ul>

<p>Sugus</p>

, but everytime when I hit return
I will receive another list item. I have tried clicking on the list 
widget once more to "stop" the list, but
then the whole list is being deleted.

Any idea how I can do this without having to edit the source?
