Unable to save in BXE

Good morning.

I am currently testing Bitflux and the Bitflux Editor since it looks
like a promising candidate in our search for a CMS that could be used
to have customers edit the contents of their web site (which would be
administered and hosted by us).

However I was as yet unable to see the BXE in full action, because I
can't save. And this isn't a problem with my installation either,
because I haven't even tried to install it. I merely used the demos
available on http://cvsdemo.bitfluxeditor.org/.

I can edit just fine, but when I get to the saving, I invariably get
this error:

Document couldn't be saved XML Parsing Error: syntax error Location:
http://cvsdemo.bitfluxeditor.org/examples/inlineXHTML/inline.xml?
exit=false Line Number 1, Column 50: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC
"-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
-------------------------------------------------^undefined

And this is without having made ANY change. I basically called up the
page and chose File->Save from the bitflux menu (or I clicked the
floppy icon, same result).

I have tried this with the most recent Mozilla and with Firefox 0.8 on
Mac OS X and also Mozilla under Linux, with always the same results. Is
this maybe a bug in the CVS version?

I'd be quite happy to use BXE since it's an implementation that works
on all systems. Since we have a lot of Mac users, an IE-based solution
just won't do (not that I'd ever consider such an option in any case).

I'd be glad to learn if this is a temporary bug or if this is known at
all. The problem is 100% reproducible, I've tried over three days and
different machines and different browsers.

As to introducing myself: Hi, I'm Lasar Liepins, employed at a
computer/internet services company in Germany, doing (web) application
development and the like.

Thank you all in advance,

_Lasar
