What I intended to suggest in comment 2 was only that the specifier for the text
to be shown was moved inside the message, so that the translator can reposition
the text to be shown inside the message if necessary.

Obviously I did *not* suggest that we show printf-style specifiers in the final
string shown to users. Solving this properly in order to get the desired
functionality described in the previous paragraph may require two subsequent
sprintf-style (g_strdup_printf) calls or something like that, but I have
purposely left that implementation decision open to whatever person
knowledgeable in C and glib programming that decides to implement this.
