Thanks!  An assertion is failing (the last line of the output); this should help
track down what's happening.

Exactly which menu item are you selecting in stage 2 above when reproducing the
crash?  (By "sub-item" do you mean a menu item on the context menu, or a menu
item in one of the submenus of the conext menus?)
