This is just a garbage from previous implementations, it should be
removed. Command line now parsed by gnome_vfs_make_uri_from_shell_arg,
all stuff is implemented in gnome-vfs. I think, even more cleanup is
needed in that part. For example, there is need to cleanup also some
documentation and function interfaces (see patch attached). But those
patch doesn't not complete this work.

Probably we want to use gnome_vfs_read_entire_file()
