Not trying to start a huge religious or anything, but I was wondering if anyone had been thinking about switching conglomerate development to mono. Personally I've been quite impressed with the apps like f-spot and muine and was wondering if people think there would be any mileage in trying to move some of the conglomerate code base to c# as I think it would make it easier for people to get involved in the development and make the implementation of features around the main editing area easier. Obviously this does mean reimplementing some of the stuff that's already in place, but it maybe necessary for things to go backwards in order to go forward. Opinions please. <disclaimer> I'm mainly a Java man myself, but I think mono is probably a better fit for Gnome apps. So I'm putting my religious feelings aside. </disclaimer> -- Jeff Martin Memetic Engineer http://www.custommonkey.org/
