I am seeing this same error. Not sure exactly when it occured (may have been when LucenePlugin updated to 4.2). I am running; JEdit=5.5, SmartOpen=2.1, CommonControls=1.7.4, LucenePlugin=4.2, ProjectViewer=3.6, Java=(build 1.8.0_311-b11), win10. I have tried regressing to SmartOpen 1.1 without success.
