Hey, I am not sure what do you want exactly. But the option "append highlight" only means that when creating a new highlight it will replace the previous one. If you want to have several rules then it is not the option you are looking for. --- ** [plugin-bugs:#1921] Highlight: append highlights not deactivatable** **Status:** open **Group:** **Created:** Tue Sep 20, 2022 08:38 AM UTC by Thiemo Kellner **Last Updated:** Tue Sep 20, 2022 08:43 AM UTC **Owner:** nobody **Attachments:** - [2022-09-20 09_32_53-Plugin Options.png](https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/1921/attachment/2022-09-20%2009_32_53-Plugin%20Options.png) (121.5 kB; image/png) - [2022-09-20 09_33_38-Plugin Options.png](https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/1921/attachment/2022-09-20%2009_33_38-Plugin%20Options.png) (116.7 kB; image/png) - [2022-09-20 09_34_50-Plugin Options.png](https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/plugin-bugs/1921/attachment/2022-09-20%2009_34_50-Plugin%20Options.png) (114.8 kB; image/png) Hi I have set up some rules and would like them not to be shown accumulative. I was under the impression that the "Append highlight" option in the plugin options would be precisely what I was looking for but it does not seem to work. Maybe, I just have a wrong understanding.
