Works for me. Maybe the font you have for your text area doesn't have that glyph. Also try enabling "Additional fonst with font substitution" in the Global Options -> Text Area pane. --- **[bugs:#4131] JEdit Displaying Unicode characters ans Empty/Blank Boxes** **Status:** open **Group:** normal bug **Labels:** unicode encoding / localization **Created:** Sun Jan 28, 2024 05:12 AM UTC by dbareis **Last Updated:** Sun Jan 28, 2024 05:12 AM UTC **Owner:** nobody Jedit is not displaying the unicode characters I paste in to files (say ".css" as UTF-8). It shows a blank box character. I don't know whether it works in other encodings. An example of a failing character is: **Black Rightwards Arrowhead - ➤** I searched the help but unicode is hardly mentioned. I'm on jedit 5.5.0 on Windows 11, the change history for the newer version doesn't mention unicode. --- Sent from sourceforge.net because [email protected] is subscribed to https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/bugs/ To unsubscribe from further messages, a project admin can change settings at https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/admin/bugs/options.
