Works for me. Maybe the font you have for your text area doesn't have that glyph. Also try enabling "Additional fonst with font substitution" in the Global Options -> Text Area pane.

Jedit is not displaying the unicode characters I paste in to files (say ".css" as UTF-8).  It shows a blank box character.  I don't know whether it works in other encodings.

An example of a failing character is: **Black Rightwards Arrowhead - ➤**

I searched the help but unicode is hardly mentioned.  I'm on jedit 5.5.0 on Windows 11, the change history for the newer version doesn't mention unicode.
