Re: Drag & Drop of files no longer working

I'm glad to hear the drag-and-drop is working better.

I want to add that the technique of removing or renaming "perspective.xml" generally applies when jEdit has problems starting, even independently of drag-and-drop. For example, I have had rare cases in which jEdit was taking a very...long...time to start. I mean, after three or four minutes, it still had not completed startup, and so I killed jEdit instead of waiting. I can't remember the exact details, but something in the log suggested jEdit was having trouble initializing certain buffers. I renamed perspective.xml, and then jEdit started normally.

I think I ended up grabbing an older copy of perspective.xml from ".jedit/settings-backup/".

I shut down my computer last
night, when I booted up this morning and
opened jEdit I could drag & drop ok with
nemo but not spaceFM. So I
 guess for now the
 problem is under control.

 I
will make a note of your suggestion and if I have problems
 again will
 try it.

 Thanks, Jim
