Hi:

When I open large files that are about 100MB, jEdit hangs for a few
minutes, and then I can interact with it smoothly. However, if I switch
tabs (still in jEdit) to a different file and then switch back, it hangs
again. I've set the min Java heap size to 768 MB and max to 1.5GB. The
memory usage widget shows that it isn't hitting the limit even at 768MB.

Is this a limitation of jEdit, or are there settings that I can change?

Cheers,
John
