I changed the behaviour to the recommended option (limited highlighting) and it's working smoothly now. However, I've noticed a different issue. When I set it to "ask each time", it doesn't ask me. What are the units for largeBufferSize and longLineLimit? Maybe I set those values incorrectly. I'm using the per-user properties file.
