1) for the alt-f11 combination:

I am seeing that the alt key is pressed, followed by the f11 key 
released, followed by the alt key released. In other words it is not 
picking up that the f11 key is pressed.

2) for the f11 key:

I am seeing that the f11 key is pressed, followed by the f11 key released.

3) for the alt key:

I am seeing that the alt key is pressed, followed by the alt key released.

For all other alt-fn combinations:

I am seeing that the alt key is pressed, followed by the fn key pressed, 
followed by the fn key released, followed by the alt key released.
