We must have been stupid knowing that this is YOUR editor and you payed for it. Oh wait… You paid for it? No you didn't, did you? You know why you didn't pay? Because jEdit is a programm written as a hobby, not as a profession. And it's written by a lot of people, mostly (I think) by people who were missing a feature elsewhere, or knowing a feature from elsewhere and implementing it in their beloved jEdit. So what can you do to solve YOUR issue with missing stuff? a) (Most preferred) Implement it on your own or b) find a workaround or c) find an editor which suits your needs d) ask POLITELY whether someone could implement it. You see: If people ask politely others are more willing to implement something than if people ask in a rude tone.
