Re: RText as a viable alternative to jEdit

SFTP support in the FTP plugin works fine for me - I use it on a daily basis.

I know you started a thread earlier about problems with that plugin. I
used to occasionally had it be slow on my computer at work (Windows 7,
with the files on a Linux server), but I haven't seen that in months,
maybe a year. Since I haven't gotten any new versions of jEdit at work,
I'm guessing the problem was on the server--they did get a new version
of RedHat, and it may be that I haven't seen the slowdown since then. I
unfortunately didn't notice when it happened.

Anyway, since the (s)ftp plugin is working at least for me (others
should chime in here), you may want to look for the problem on your
server, rather than in jEdit or the plugin.
