.g4 file identified as backup file?

Files with a .g4 extension are antlr grammar files. When I open such a
file, jEdit tells me it's likely a backup file, then colors it in the
buffer switcher as a back up file. It's also correctly identified as an
antlr grammar file, so the right mode is selected, the coloring is correct,
and the antlr sidekick parses it correctly. Anyone know why these files are
incorrectly identified as back up files?

Thanks,

Dale
