I want ZFS in my my Linux but apparently GPL is large part of the reason
it can't be integrated in the upstream kernel. I have not idea if the
same thing could happen to jEdit vs a plugin -- or more importantly if
anyone would care, just given the size of the userbase -- but I think
this whole "stealing code" spiel got old a couple decades ago.
