I've been a jedit user for over 10 years and I've had to scuttle it and now use VS Code (after trying Kate, Cuda, Codium). Gedit is excellent but no code folding which is a must. It breaks my heart to do it because I've loved jedit. But now it freezes if I open too many files and the newest version is broken. (Dicking with Java sucks).
