MacOS native file dialog?

I've been a jEdit user for literally decades, as its cross-platform compatibility is almost as important as its OSS origins and the ability to 
customize the editor for almost anything.

I do most of my work on Mac these days, and all the editors I've relied on over the years keep turning into abandonware.  jEdit really ticks all the 
boxes for both text and what little programming I do these days.  However, one utility that I use heavily requires the native MacOS file dialog in 
order to work at its best: Default Folder X.  Its shortcuts and ease of use really make it fast and easy to navigate when opening/saving files.

I know that it's possible to invoke the Mac native file dialog from a Java app, because I have a couple which do just that.  Are there any plans to 
support this in an upcoming release of jEdit?   Currently using 5.7.0 which is the latest version I've been able to find.
